A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, violinist Mable Lecrone began her musical journey at age seven. She earned her bachelor's degree in Violin Performance and Music Composition from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and her master's degree in Violin Performance from Lynn Conservatory.
An avid chamber musician, Mable is a member of the CSP Quartet and previously a member of the Antigone Quartet and the Aurora Quartet, which has led her to perform at music festivals and concerts across the United States and Europe. Her passion for chamber and new music has led her to many incredible performance opportunities, including residencies at SIFest, Musica Le Mans, the Ascent International Chamber Music Festival, and, most recently, performing with the Puerto Rican Reggaeton superstar Bad Bunny on his “Most Wanted” North American Tour. She has been featured in chamber music masterclasses with Philip Setzer, Peter Salaff, the Miro Quartet, and Sterling Elliot, and has been coached by soloists and chamber musicians, including Saeunn Thorsteindottir, Amit Even-Tov, Alan Rafferty, and Chauncy Patterson.
She has been a part of world premieres by composers Patrick Wickliffe, Isaac Creager, and, Ethan Soledad. Additionally, her work with Ethan Soledad was heard on WGUC with the broadcast premiere of his work Lavender Among Thorns, the winning work of the Antigone Quartet's inaugural call for scores. Her accolades include a prize winner in the Lyric Chamber Music Competition and the American Virtuoso International Competition, as well as a finalist in the Glass City Chamber Music Competition.
Mable currently lives in Cincinnati, living out her dream of teaching and performing chamber music with the Cincinnati String Project (CSP), a nonprofit dedicated to teaching and performing chamber music in Cincinnati.
