My Teaching Philosophy
I strive to build confident, well-rounded musicians through a balance of technique, musicality, and creative expression. My diverse musical background allows me to adapt to each student’s goals. I find learning in music, no matter what age, is a delicate balance of doing the work it takes to see progress and experiencing the rewards of that hard work and practice. However, if the student does not find some joy or fulfillment in both parts of the learning process, the progress becomes much slower. I strive to help each student find the joy in every aspect and to become their own teacher in many ways.

I have been teaching violin for over 10 years and I have a wide range of experience from ages four to adults and beginners to advanced levels. Not matter where you are in your journey with the violin I always privatize the students relation with the instrument. Especially in the beginning learning the violin can be a very frustrating process and the joy for the instrument made fad because of that frustration. Progress might seem slow at first but with the right support and consistent practice the student will be set up for long term success and joying for the instrument.
Something that I find is import to teach my students is to become their own teacher. As any musician will tell you most of your practice and learning is spent without your teacher Being able to think critically and evaluate your own playing is very important to you improve as a player. In lesson I am always helping the students answer their own questions.
